Rolla Missouri to Eureka Springs Arkansas

Happy birthday to me. Route 66, the Mother Road, ran through Rolla, Missouri. I turned 66 on Route 66. Cool.

The alarm went off at 5:00 AM this morning and we were checked out and rolling by 6:30. It was a pleasant morning with some bouts of fog in low lying areas. We followed I-40 to Springfield, Missouri and then turned south on US 65 to Branson and beyond.

The new Equinox is doing a fine job

A little foggy

A lot foggy

Acres of Tracker boats

Sedimentary rock formations along US 65

Interesting rock formations

Big hills

And bigger hills

Just passing through today

Still moving south on US 65

South of Branson, we left US 65 in favour of Missouri 86. This winding road took us to Blue Eye, Missouri and the Arkansas border. From there, we followed Arkansas 21 to Berryville where we took a shortcut across the top of town and headed west on US 62 to Eureka Springs and Stonegate Lodge. We pulled into the lot at 11:00 AM, just as predicted.
