It was a very quiet Mother's Day. The rain started overnight and never really let up all day. The system extended from the Florida panhandle to about Cleveland and wasn't moving very fast. All the rest of North America looked pretty dry.
Sandy talked to her parents in Skype this morning but the call quality was pretty poor. We are using the public library WiFi because the faster Applecover seems to need to be reset.
I dug out the Passport external USB drive Gary gave me and loaded the music files to my own drive. Then I scanned the video files he gave me and found Season Two of Rizzoli and Isles. I know the real-time world is in Season Three but we watched the first on Canadian Showcase over the winter (they run way behind) and want to keep the chronology correct. Before we could watch it, I needed to find a DivX viewer. VLC did the trick.
So we watched a number of episodes of R & I on Sandy's computer and some old episodes of Sister Wives on TLC. Then we watched the SW season premier at 9:00 PM.
The weather forecast looks good for later in the week when the gang arrives. I have started collecting ETA's from anyone who has posted them on the VROC newsgroup or Facebook. Blondy should be in Tuesday morning and we are looking forward to the company. We did talk today about what we would have done today if we had been in a motel room with both a motorcycle and a truck available to us. The more I think about it, the more certain I am that the times they are a'changin'. Or they will be.
So we'll hope for a bit of dry time tomorrow so we can slide over to Wheels Through Time. For all our times in Maggie Valley, we have never taken in this landmark museum, which is open from Thursdays to Mondays. Maybe breakfast at Country Vittles first, since they are only closed on Tuesdays.
